Cytotec (misoprostol) is a potent medication intended for the prevention of ulcers. In some cases ulcers are likely to form if you are taking aspirin or some other medicine for the treatment of pain or arthritis for a long time. This drug works by protecting the lining of your stomach, and you are supposed to take it regularly to provide for the best effects (usually the patients are recommended to take Cytotec 4 times a day). Make sure you take Cytotec regularly for the best effects. To make sure you are not pregnant start taking this drug from the second or third day of the menstrual period. Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your health care provider except for the case you think you may have become pregnant. Do not any other people take your medicine, especially if it’s a woman who may potentially become pregnant.
